Congratulations to the Boys’ and Girls Golf Teams on the 2015 season!  The Girls’ team had its biggest turnout ever; and with 5 freshmen on the squad, it will only improve with age.  The Boys had its strongest season in history and 3 golfers were awarded 2nd-Team All-League honors:  Senior Tristan Nurse, Junior Will Couche and Sophomore Oscar Loggias.

In perhaps the strongest  3A/2A/1A District in the State, the Riverdale Tennis Teams faced fierce local competition all season.  This week 5 students played in the District quarterfinals: Junior Matous Komers, Senior Elizabeth Berry, Sophomore Grant Roulier, Senior Krystof Komers and Junior Michelle Ly.   This was one win away from the state tournament!  The other quarterfinalists played great matches against tough competition and everyone at the tournament should be proud about their efforts.  Michelle Ly made it through and finished in 2nd place, advancing to the OSAA State Tournament for the 3rd year in a row!  Congratulations, Michelle.

The Track Teams compete in their District meet on Friday and Saturday at Portland Christian School.   With high hopes for advancing to State are the following:

Senior Guy Eroh in the 1500m

Sophomore Lilah Abrams in the 1500m and 3000m

Junior Alexandra Scott in the 800m and 300m hurdles

Freshman Gillian Styring in the Pole Vault

Junior Katherine Pelz in the Discus and Shot Put
