Futsal. By popular demand Futsal is back with coach Chad. Two sessions and three classes. Many options available. What is Futsal? The word Futsal comes from shortening the Spanish phrase “Futbol de Salon” which literally translates to “Soccer in the Living Room”! The game is played on basketball-sized courts, without the use of sidewalls. Building quick reflexes, fast thinking, and accurate passing, it is exciting, fun, and a great skills developer for young players. Brazilians swear by it and take those well-honed skills into their outdoor games. Please check this link for specifics on times, dates and grades: https://riverdaleptc.org/category/community-school/
Mad Science. Starting December we will offer a Mad Science class. First up is the Science of Machines. Grades K-5. Mad Science after-school programs are parent paid enrichment programs designed to demonstrate to the students how really fun science is. Our philosophy is to engage the children in exciting hands-on activities that provide both learning and fun. Each class includes a science take home activity that we hope extends the science learning beyond the one hour class time. First class will be focused on the Science of Machines.
