Eleven Riverdale students and two teacher chaperones spent 18 days in India for an extended Field Studies service learning trip. The group spent 18 days exploring Tibetan, Nepali and Indian cultures through city explorations and homestays in rural villages. They worked on village infrastructure projects, helped Tibetan refugees improve their English skills, bonded with their host families and heard from local poets, political activists and speakers. You can hear all about the trip and the students’ life-changing experiences at 7 p.m., next Thursday, April 19 in the RHS Library.
