Funds raised through PTC events support the educational enrichment of our children. We work with our Superintendent and Principal to make sure we understand and support the priority programs for the school. Our Riverdale Auction titled “Passport to our Future”, will be held on March 11, 2017, provides the main source of income for our Parent Teacher Club.

Stamp your “passport” while supporting the Riverdale Parent Teacher Club at this special gala evening of international cuisine and entertainment.  The PTC Auction raises significant funds for educational programs that help all Riverdale students reach their academic, athletic and social “destinations.”

Additionally, “Passport to our Future” will provide Riverdale supporters with a globally good time!


The Original Works fundraiser is designed to support our Art Literacy program. Students create art, which is then reproduced onto products we can purchase. Riverdale receives 50% of all funds generated through product sales. The submission deadline for Original Works is October 20. More details will be available on the PTC website.

The Scholastic Book Fair occurs twice a year-in December and in June. Students, teachers, and parents will have the opportunity to browse through an extensive selection of new books set up in our school library. All proceeds from the book sales are used towards school and classroom libraries. There will be a Used Book Fair held in October. Look for more detailed information on our website!

Classroom parties are organized by your Classroom Parents. Donating to the Classroom Fund provides the Classroom Parent(s) with sufficient funds necessary to prepare for activities and treats for these celebrations. The Classroom party fee per student for the entire year is $20. Please visit the PTC website to contribute to your classroom fund.

This year you will have a choice of either signing up to bring menu items from the sign up list or you may contribute $20 on the PTC website towards the cost of Teacher Appreciation Meals.

Throughout the year, our teachers purchase supplies and books for their classrooms. The PTC will reimburse their Principal approved expenses up to $400 per year per full time classroom teacher and $600 for a new teacher. When paying for your Classroom Support Fee, please contribute to the Teacher Support Fund with a suggested $20 donation per child.
