Show your support for Riverdale High School’s Robotics Club from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, by dining at the Lake Oswego Burgerville on Upper Boones Ferry Road (where Carman Drive turns into Upper Boones Ferry just west of I-5, see map). Burgerville, the self-proclaimed “eco-conscious” burger chain, will donate 10 percent of the total sales from the “partnership night” fundraiser to the Robotics Club. Money raised will help cover entrance fees for the upcoming competition, as well as parts that enable the robot to perform the assigned tasks. This year’s competition is focused on recycling, and club members are hard at work putting the finishing touches on their robot, which will pick up litter and stack recycling totes and bins. It must be completed and sealed on the day of the fundraiser and not opened again until the March 13 competition.
