An August event for new families to come to the school, collect some important school and PTC information, and meet “existing” parents and students. A great place to ask questions and allow your students to meet a few others. Free.
There is a lot of information to navigate at Riverdale and it is always nice to have someone help guide you. RHS has a New Family Liasion who makes contact and sends extra informative emails to new parents and coordinates service hour opportunities over the summer for new students to meet existing classmates. Free.
On a scheduled evening in September, parents meet with the teacher(s), see the classrooms, and hear about the plans for the year. Please note- if you have more than one child, you may need to divide your time in order to meet with each teacher- or have more than one adult to go to each class. Free.
Ladies’ Stag is not to be missed (ladies only)! It is a fun-filled day and an enjoyable evening for the women of the Riverdale community. The day event includes a hike and lunch. The evening event is a social gathering with food and drink at a community member’s home. It’s a great chance to visit with friends and make some new ones. User-Pay, Break-Even Event.
You buy a gift card from the list of retailers that work with us, and between 4-40% of the purchase of that gift card goes back to Riverdale. Escrip is the same, except you register your card online (with Zupan’s etc.) and a percentage automatically goes to Riverdale. Optional and no extra parent cost.
The Riverdale PTC Auction is the main source of income for both the High School and Grade School PTCs. It is a district-wide event. Join community members for an evening of fun to support our great district. Ticket price and whatever you choose to purchase–community members generously donate amazing items and experiences.
Party Packs are fun parties calendared throughout the year in an effort to foster community and raise funds. Our generous hosts pay 100% of the party costs so that 100% of your ticket price flows to the PTC. Ticket price varies per party.
Every spring student art hangs on the walls of the High School to be displayed for the District Art Show. Featured student musicians are often in the foyer and library. Drop by for an open-house format. Both Grade School and High School art is on display. Free.
